another highlight of the movie was karisma kapoor dancing to the song, raat gayi hai meri jaan, and she went on to dance on many more such songs, including dil to pagal hai. as per her, her dance was the best in the film.
she also commented on aamir khan’s raja hindustani, ‘every time i watch the film, i feel the same way as i did the first time i saw it. his simple gestures and facial expressions can make you feel so many things. it’s so easy to take him for granted, but he always leaves a mark on you. aamir has been a good friend of mine for a long time. his support and encouragement have always been there for me. i am blessed to have been a part of his world.
aamir khan’s raja hindustani became the biggest hit of karisma’s career. the film did not just earn her a national award for her performance, but also earned her the filmfare award for best actress, and the zee cine award for best film of the year.
she also went on to star in many other movies including dil to pagal hai, and karishma. raja hindustani continues to be a favourite among fans, and her appearance in the film is considered a turning point in karisma’s career.
